Data We Collect
Contact enquiries; anonymised analytics; publicly available solicitor listing data; and, where you submit a callback request, the details you provide in the form: your name, phone number, email address, UK city, and the type of employment issue you need help with. We do not ask for, and you should not submit, detailed case information or special category data through the form.
Legal Basis
Legitimate interests (operating the directory); consent (optional analytics cookies, and callback requests — the form cannot be submitted without ticking the consent box); and legal obligation under UK GDPR.
How We Use Your Data
To respond to enquiries and improve the site. If you submit a callback request, we share the details you provided with one matched, SRA-regulated employment law firm — selected by your city and the issue you described, or the specific firm whose profile you enquired from — for the sole purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not sell your data to data brokers, share it with more than one firm per enquiry, or use it for unrelated marketing.
Callback Requests & Solicitor Matching
When your enquiry is passed to a solicitor, that firm becomes an independent controller of your data and will handle it under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read. We retain callback records for up to 12 months for matching, billing and quality purposes, then delete them. You may withdraw consent or ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by emailing andrew@employmentsolicitorsnearme.co.uk; this does not affect processing already carried out, and the matched firm must be contacted separately to exercise your rights against them.
Data Retention
Contact messages retained for up to 24 months. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
